Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Robert Stanford earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s degree in Health Science specializing in anesthesia from MUSC in Charleston, South Carolina. His 15 years of healthcare experience includes working as nurse in the ICU and as a nurse anesthetist in the OR.
Bob is a fully licensed acupuncturist, certified with NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). His mission is to offer Charleston area residents the highest quality holistic healthcare possible.
His exceptional background combining conventional western medicine with Chinese medicine gives Robert a unique view of health as not just the absence of disease, but as a state of vitality or well-being based on the union of body, mind and spirit.
Bob graduated with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture (AFEA), a nationally accredited acupuncture school located in Gainesville, Florida. The program includes three years of study and one year of clinical experience working in the AFEA community clinic.
